A Jackdaw with a Stick

A jackdaw appeared, carrying in its beak a stick, about half as thick as a little finger and nearly as long as the jackdaw. The bird must have decided on a different grip for the stick. It dropped the stick from the shed roof onto the ground, then flew down and picked it up again. Then the bird perched briefly atop the garden wall before flying off, presumably to a nest under construction.
