Petite Cacophony

Little spring stems,
Finding purchase
In the thin seam of a wall,
Their new leaves
Catching the April breeze —
Shimmering in it.
I imagine them with bells,
A petite cacophony
To accompany
My solitude as I
Reacquaint myself
With the feel of the world
Beyond my door.
